Dumbleton Hall is a beautiful 19th-century country house hotel, that sits amid the rolling hills and valleys of the Northern Cotswolds. The Grade 1 listed traditional Manor House is set in 19 acres of private gardens and woodland with its very own lake. Dumbleton House is steeped not just in history but the tradition of great British hospitality, making it the perfect place for a countryside escape.
Dumbleton Hall was built by Sir Richard Cocks in 1534 and was home to the Cocks family for over two decades. However, the condition of Dumbleton began to deteriorate during the late 18th century, and it was eventually demolished. During the mid-19th century, Dumbleton Hall was restored with the iconic honey-hued Cotswold stone you see today, and it went on to become home to the Eyres family. As the 1930′s progressed, Dumbleton Hall quickly became renowned for its lavish gatherings thrown by the Eyres. The Hall regularly entertained the likes of John Betjeman, an English poet, writer, and broadcaster who went on become Poet Laureate until his death, Elizabeth Gaskell, the notable author who wrote about Victorian society, and the famously scandalous Mitford sisters.
Dumbleton Hall surrounded by breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside and hills is the perfect traditional country manor house wedding venue to celebrate your special day and create wonderful and lasting memories.
Dumbleton Hall is a friendly, relaxed and elegant venue for all your function requirements. The hotel host a variety of professional groups, clubs and organisations that want to celebrate an event from black-tie dinners, pensioners’ party lunches and charity functions.
