Château du Mont was originally built in 1641 and later extended in 1726. It showcases a luxurious interior adorned with exquisite marble and parquet floors, elegant wood panelling, and dazzling chandeliers throughout. Set amidst the picturesque Italian gardens, this architectural masterpiece offers a captivating blend of history and opulence. The outdoor terrace provides an idyllic setting for dining, complete with a stunning fountain and breathtaking views of the gardens and the vast estate. The chateau’s layout is enhanced by glass doors at both the front and back, allowing sunlight to shine throughout the entire house, creating an incredible ambiance. Situated in Normandy, near the charming seaside towns of Honfleur and Deauville, and conveniently located within a two-hour drive from Paris and its airports, the chateau enjoys a tranquil location on the outskirts of a quaint village, surrounded by fields, orchards, and breathtaking woodland scenery.
The château was originally constructed in 1641 by Francoise de la Haye and at that time was a “manoir” rather than a château, being much smaller than it is now. It was built by a harbour master, who would sail dairy products from Le Havre to Paris. It was then bought by Etienne d’Ivry in 1724 who built some of the outbuildings including the chapel. During the Second World War, the German military occupied the château for a short period, but at the time there was no running water in the property so they did not stay for very long. By 1958 the chateau was very run down and was bought by a Parisian family and completely restored.
The garden level of the Chateau comprises two primary areas – the kitchen/pantry section and the living/dining area. The latter is composed of a spacious sitting room adorned with a grand fireplace, and a dining room that opens out onto the gardens. The dining room features two large round tables, and there is also a dining area on the terrace.
The ground floor has multiple formal rooms primarily used for entertaining. Three of these rooms open onto the terrace which is perfect for alfresco dining during the summer. The first floor houses three master bedrooms, each equipped with ensuite bathrooms, while the top floor contains six bedrooms and three bathrooms. All bedrooms offer splendid views of the formal gardens and beyond.

Located in Normandy, the chateau is in close proximity to the seaside towns of Honfleur and Deauville, less than 2 hours away from Paris and its airports. Situated on the outskirts of a quaint village and near a bustling market town, the estate is enveloped by fields, orchards, and woodland, creating an idyllic setting for a family celebration.

Guests staying at the Chateau have the opportunity to engage in a range of activities, from swimming in the outdoor pool and playing table tennis to practicing yoga and taking part in local pursuits like horseback riding, golf, sailing, sand yachting, and tennis, making it an ideal location for a retreat.

Both the chateau and the farmhouse are available for rent either together or independently. The chateau can accommodate up to 18 guests, and the farmhouse can accommodate up to 10. Additionally, we can host events for up to 28 people by utilising the entertainment space in the pool house.
