About Oddfellows On The Park

In the heart of Manchester’s beautiful Bruntwood Park, Oddfellows On The Park is a unique Gothic-style Victorian mansion from the 1860s. Set on 120 acres of pristine lawns, the boutique hotel boasts spectacular views of mature woodlands and waterways. The hotel has since been restored to its original eclectic quirkiness and unabashed luxury, while still retaining as much of its elegant and classical Victorian charm as possible. A destination restaurant, chic cocktail bar, and idyllic location make for a truly charming getaway.

Our history

Bruntwood Hall

Originally known as Bruntwood Hall, the hotel was built in 1861 as the residence of Stuff Merchant, John Douglas, and it was named Bruntwood after his wife’s Scottish heritage. During World War 2, Bruntwood Hall was the Town Hall of Cheadle and Gatley Urban District of Cheshire. Later, it became one of the finest equestrian studs in the North of England, a nod to its namesake Stud Bar and Galloping Major restaurant, and then it became home to an entertainment company.
