Georgian House is an elegant, 19th-century Grade II-listed townhouse nestled in the quaint streets of Pimlico, London. There are 45 bedrooms in the historic property, each uniquely designed to preserve its heritage and distinctive Victorian charm. Georgian House has been family owned since it was originally built in 1851, and throughout the years the family has strived to maintain the warm ‘home from home’ feeling that guests will experience at the hotel.
Georgian House was originally built in 1851 by William Chinnery Mitchell and has remained in the same family for over 150 years. Following his purchase of the land, William Chinnery Mitchell developed the property under the guidance of Thomas Cubitt, who was a leading master builder in London during the second quarter of the 19th century. Several of his houses were adorned with his signature details, including a string motif and decorative plaster lines on the exterior, in order to leave his mark on the grand, heritage properties.
